The Kitzbüheler Alps are the perfect vacation spot for hikers. Here you can explore the Tyrolean mountain landscape with more than 400 km of hiking trails. From the trails, you have a wonderful view of the mountains, forests, and the vast fields of the Alpine landscape.

A hike to the Wildseeloderhaus, which is located directly on the idyllic Wildseeloder mountain lake, is particularly recommended. This mountain lake is one of the most famous attractions in Fieberbrunn and Tyrol.

Experience the great outdoors up close while hiking, but also during a small break on a terrace of the many mountain huts along the trails. Enjoy a Tyrolean ‘Jause’ and the expansive view over the summer mountain peaks.

Hiking for young and old

In the surrounding area, there are hiking routes of all difficulty levels. Families with young children, beginners, but also experienced and seasoned hikers will definitely find a suitable and, if desired, challenging route for a sporty excursion.

The start and end points of the respective hiking routes are easily accessible by the Regio bus. You will receive a guest card from us, with which you can use the bus in the Pillersee Valley for free. For other routes, you can take the gondola up the mountain. o use the gondola, you can purchase a PillerseeTal Card at the local tourism office. With the PillerseeTal Card, you save money.

Hikes for the little ones

Is your child not a fan of long hikes? We have some ideas for that too! The mountain opposite our holiday village Wallenburg has a lot to offer. An adventure trail with many stations, a petting zoo, a forest rope course, and much more will surely get your child in the mood for hiking. Every Friday in the summer is also ‘long Friday’. The Streuböden cable car is then open until 11 pm. Games, fun, and a new theme every Friday on the Streubödenalm.

In Waidring, there is the adventure trail Triassic Park on the Steinplatte. Here you will be transported back to the Stone Age.

A very easy via ferrata, where the children can climb, is called “Himmel und Henne”. This is located on the Lärchfilzkogel in the Fieberbrunn hiking area.

Hiking Tour to the Wildseeloderhaus

Try out the hiking routes around the Pillersee or to the Hochkogel, the Gebra Chapel, or the Pletzergraben. The route to the Wildseeloderhaus, which is located directly by a romantic mountain lake, is also beautiful. From here, you can climb to the peak of the “Henne” or simply stroll leisurely along the magnificent flower path. By the way, many hikers have already seen marmots on this route.

The real athletes can hike directly from our holiday village to the Wildseeloder on foot. Along the way, you’ll pass several alpine pastures where you can have a drink and rest.

If you want to take a shorter hike or have children with you, you can take the cable car to the Hochkögel and from there follow the hiking route to the Wildseeloder. It’s worth continuing to the ‘Loder Cross’ for a fantastic view.
